Ecuadorian Police Take Down Attempted Robber
Machala, El Oro, Ecuador A 19-year-old criminal, Axel D.G.P., attacked a citizen who had just withdrawn money from an ATM, and used his revolver to threaten him. The scene caught the attention of a uniformed police officer, who intervened immediately to thwart Axel. Axel responded violently, pointing his gun and opening fire at the officer whilst running away. The officer responded in kind, and shot Axel in the head. Axel had an accomplice, who was on a motorbike, and who fled the scene immediately. Axel still presented vital signs when he was taken to hospital, but the shot that felled him had caused a traumatic brain injury. He died a few hours later. |

Damaged the right cerebral cortex. He lost any voluntary motor function or sensation on the left side. If he was right handed, there is a pretty good chance he lost any spatial awareness on that side as well. It's difficult to get up when you no longer know that half of your body even exists. |

We need an executive order as soon as possible to allow this in the United States. |
