I wonder how much blood that guy with the leg wound lost?? If they are initially appliying a pressure dressing on that wound, he must have lost lots of blood prior to his transport, cuz his pants are soaked... It would help elevating the legs above the heart instead of leaving him on the deck to bleed out... The guy with the endotracheal tube and the abdominal wound is circling the drain for sure. Better call a priest.. Oh wait, he's Muslim, call a Imam. I bet that container (with all the civil war vintage surgical equipment) that's pressed up against his head feels really comfortable as well. The primitive nature of the medical treatment facility/triage area is also another reason why I love living in the U.S... I am happy that the U.S. spends more money on healthcare than any other nation in the world. |
