I realize that people in this condition are completely unaware of any physical things going on, but wouldn't it at least look compassionate for someone to throw a blanket on him? It would at least give the impression of trying to comfort a clearly dying person.

you dont usually get shot in the brain (head ) for nothing, its a fairly safe bet this guy robably deserved what he got. However i saw at least 11 last breaths in this video, not one dramatic one  |

I think there may still be a certain level of consciousness going on in people like this. We will never know for sure because we can’t ask them. Obviously some electrical signals are still firing. Who knows? Maybe blind, maybe some hearing, even if paralyzed maybe he has hallucinations of kaleidoscopes or the Easter Bunny. Maybe short bursts of intense pain and memories of tastes of peanut butter and barbecue sauce. With a good portion of brain turned to oatmeal, who knows?
