Soviet bloc weapons would be 7.62x54R. 7.62x51 is a NATO variation of the American Winchester .308. |

We should use this as evidence to repeal the 1986 Hughes Amendment or 1934 NFA entirely. Clearly full auto is hard to control and results in less deaths.

Apparently some western clones that used 7.62x51 NATO but can see the rimmed and tapered copper washed steel cases of 7.62x54R in this vid.

Soviets sucked at metallurgy, manufacturing, tolerance, chemistry, and just about everything. So they designed all their cartridges cases with extreme taper to aid extraction.
