I thought the same. maybe he was not familiar with that intersection as it almost looks like he might have turned left becoming a wrong way driver plus, according to the lawyer he also had some alcohol in his blood. Or maybe with that woman sitting next to him at 4.30 AM they were frolicking around in the car.

I counted 8 seconds from the time the truck came into view around the corner to the time of impact. I don't think the car's driver had time to react.

As usual, the drunk survives, everyone else is dead or fighting for their lives in the hospital.
Unfortunate the victim went through a red light, that decision cost him his life. Just because it's night time doesn't mean you can just bypass traffic lights. He's probably one of those assholes who will cut into a line of cars waiting to exit off the highway.
