Brazil - a society of murderous thugs like no other in the world. Hey, I despise belligerent drunks llke the next guy but did he deserve that? He actually put up his hands in a surrendering gesture of "Okay, I'm sorry! Please don't kill me!" But these people have a bloodlust and they wanted blood that night. At least the drunk wasn't driving a vehicle in which case I would have had far less sympathy because people like that should be off the streets, one way or another.
You are wrong about one thing, he is walking because he is too poor to buy a car. If he has a car, I am sure he will drive.
