~Drunk Man Jumps Into Fire Pit During Muharram Festival~
Andhra Pradesh~ A 60 year old drunk man jumped into a pit of fire and died during Muharram festivities in the Kurnool district. The deceased was identified as Panyam Venkata Subbaiah. Villagers,who were celebrating the Peerla Panduga festival after the pit of fire was lit up, first noticed Venkata Subbaiah moving around dangerously close to the fire. After reprimanding him, the locals forced him to sit on an isolated bench nearby. But after some time, he once again got close up to the pit of fire, and suddenly jumped into it. Though villagers tried to rescue him, he sustained severe burn injuries all over his body, and he was already dead. OWK police who learned about the incident, rushed to the spot and shifted the victim's body to the local area hospital for postmortem, and registered a case... |

~ It's a ritual meant to scare people of the fires of hell, so that they'll be good. In this case the one guy must have had so many guilty evil mortal sins that he wanted to take a chance at paying for all of them all at once, forgiven if he survived. Not in this case. ~ Too much alcohol fueled this guilty fire of redemption. |
