Drunk Driver Hits 3 Women, Killing One
A 40-year-old man who was driving drunk and at speeds of over 100 kilometres per hour ran over three women on Sunday morning in Buenos Aires. the victims got off a bus and began to cross San Martin Avenue towards a nearby church when the Renault 12 in which Darío Caravallo was traveling triggered the tragedy. According to witnesses, the driver was going faster than the speed limit and not only hit the women but then tried to escape from the scene without stopping to help them. Caravallo did not have a driver's license, the vehicle had no insurance or valid technical verification. Sara Adelina Serna, the fatal victim, was 77 years old and died almost instantly. Meanwhile, Belén Alegre (31) and Agustina Vallejos (28), the two women who accompanied her, were transferred by a SAME ambulance to the Hospital. After the police arrived, Caravallo was subjected to a breathalyzer test and the result revealed that the driver had 1.53 grams of alcohol per liter of blood. The case is being investigated by prosecutor Barbara Velazco, of the UFI 22 of Quilmes, who ordered the arrest of Caravallo for the crime of culpable homicide and culpable injuries. |

Two of them were flung into the Airies and it was No Bueno! Driver was obviously the culprit, but might have helped if they paid more attention to oncoming traffic. |

It almost looks like he tried to hit them. They were almost to the curb & he had plenty of room to go around.
