Drunk Cop Driver and Passengers Smash into a Granddad Waiting for the Bus
Peru. Francisco E.M, an 80-year-old grandfather, was standing near a wooden fence waiting for public transit to attend a relative's funeral. Yesterday morning, a white Chevrolet traveling at high speed suddenly veered off the road and plowed straight onto the shoulder. It smashed through the wooden structure, struck the elderly man, and then collided with a parked grey minivan. The grandfather died instantly at the scene. Enraged local witnesses and family members immediately detained the vehicle's occupants to prevent them from fleeing. Witnesses noted that the driver and passengers appeared highly intoxicated. Adding to the outrage, a video later surfaced on social media, reportedly recorded and uploaded by the occupants themselves, showing them drinking alcohol inside the vehicle shortly before the crash. Family members and local reports state that the driver is allegedly an active-duty officer of the Peruvian National Police. |

That cop who was leading him along just bailed when the townsfolk set in.
