Re: ~Driver Dies In Fiery Crash In Burnaby, B.C.~
This, for me, is one of the worst ways to die. Poor bastard (as long as he wasn't drunk... if he was, then this was deserved).

Re: ~Driver Dies In Fiery Crash In Burnaby, B.C.~
It may have been nice if they tried to at least open the door but car fires burn hot, like hot hot and I do understand that one probably isn't going to save that man without injury to themselves.

Unfortunately for the driver the flames probably melted the plastic door handles on both the inside and outside. Car manufacturers are cutting corners everywhere and sometimes it can cost lives. |

Re: ~Driver Dies In Fiery Crash In Burnaby, B.C.~
Nobody here would have been able to do anything about this. It's too hot to even approach and if you tried to rescue the guy you would have gotten full thickness burns. Secondly. The guy is dead, nobody can survive those levels of burns. The passenger is nearly 100% burnt including his airway. The humane thing here would have been to just leave him. |

This thread has some hilarious comments. I came back to listen to the guy saying “What happened? Accident?" and then scrolled to the comments and am still laughing!
