~Driver Dies In Fiery Crash In Burnaby, B.C.~
Burnaby, British Columbia ~ https://globalnews.ca/news/8952920/f...d-burnaby/amp/ A person died in a fiery single-vehicle collision on Boundary Road in Burnaby, B.C., early Tuesday morning. Police said a number of people driving by the crash scene stopped and attempted to save the driver who was the sole occupant of the vehicle. Sadly they were not able to save the person’s life. “We would like to thank the multiple witnesses who attempted to save the driver and contacted emergency services,” Cpl. Alexa Hodgins of the Burnaby RCMP said Tuesday morning. “We understand that this type of event can be traumatic, however, the actions of the witnesses are nothing short of heroic.” |

What is going to blow? And then the "open the car" shouting? I can't believe this is real. Thanks

Too bad nobody had a fire extinguisher, in this case it might have actually helped |

Weird. Structurally vehicle looks fine. However the fire is massive and an axle seems missing in the front. Looks like a rollover after a clipping or a high speed turn ? |

Re: ~Driver Dies In Fiery Crash In Burnaby, B.C.~
I'm missing the "heroic" part of the video. Maybe it is too hot to stand it, but why not try pulling the driver out of the vehicle? Maybe the driver is pinned down by the steering wheel and dash. The bystanders are worried about an explosion. I have never seen a vehicle's gas tank explode, but "the word on the street" is that gas tanks go POP and don't explode. Chances are they were driving drunk and/or stupid and speeding to crash into a tree hard enough to rip off the front axle. A wise person at the scene wouldn't risk their own safety and life/health to save such a driver. Even a gas tank that goes POP might shower you with flaming gas, and then you are a DR video section celebrity and are fucked... |
