Arterial blood is the oxygenated blood...the veins carry the darker unoxgenated blood..from the looks of the blood flow...the is a good chance that he was shot in the lungs,,the blood from his nose could be from the lungs or brain...anyway he would have bleed out quickly...and it could be steam if the air around is cold enough but it is likely it was from the gunshot as Tyberius said..with an arterial bleed the heart pumps the blood and causes it "squirts" faster the heart rate the faster the bleed...I'd be willing to bet that the 3nd nan;s heart rate was double |

Arterial blood is bright red oxygenated blood on it's way to vital organs. Venous blood is the dark oxygen depleted blood on it's way back to the lungs via the heart to be reoxygenated. Like what CJheath said^^^^above my post. But I do think that head shots can hit arterial blood as well since there are massive feeder arteries in the head and neck. Looks like one got hit and the shot was to the head. |
