PETALING JAYA: A 66-year-old chicken farmer died after he was shot three times at point blank range with a double barrel shotgun after an argument during a drinking session in Sitiawan, Perak.

According to the police report, the incident happened at around 10.50pm on Friday (June 1) at the parking area outside a restaurant in Kampung Koh, Sitiawan.

Witnesses saw Chu Phan Hoo, 61, shoot Ling Lu King multiple times with the shotgun. Ling died while receiving treatment at Seri Manjung Hospital.

A 47-second video of the shooting, believed to be shot by onlookers at the restaurant, showed Ling lying helplessly on the ground.

The police report said that Chu and Ling were drinking together and believed to have gotten into an argument about a debt.

Following a public tip-off, police managed to track down the suspect's vehicle at Simpang Dua, Sitiawan.

Chu Phan Hoo, 62, was found dead after shooting himself inside a Toyota Fortuner that was parked beside a shopping block at Simpang Dua, about 10 kilometres from the location where he had shot Ling Iu King, who was also his friend.

Police seized both the double barrel shotgun and a semi-automatic pistol from Chu's vehicle. Both victim and suspect possessed firearm licence.

Perhaps the guy on the ground was a thief and the guy with the gun caught him? Just my guess from the sequence of events

Many shop owners in other countries keep a firearm in their store. Though probably not usually a double barrel I know if I owned a shop in Brazil I'd sure as hell have a firearm close by

Looked like he pulled a gun from the guy. Maybe he was threatened and shot first cuz he seemed to know the guy was armed Those last couple shots were totally unnecessary though
