Dominican Woman Killed After Bike Collision Sends Her Under Truck Wheels
In Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, a young woman, Yessica A.R.S., was killed after she was run over by a truck. CCTV footage showed that Yessica was riding pillion on a motorcycle when another motorbike, travelling in the opposite direction, hit them. The collision sent everyone sprawling on the ground, but Yessica was run over by a truck that was passing by. Yessica was taken to hospital, where she died a few hours later. |

She crossed over a double yellow line trying to pass where she shouldn’t have. |

She seemed pretty unfazed by the whole experience.

Whatever they have on that stretcher makes it look an awful lot like a slice of American bacon, raw, just sitting there, like it’s waiting to be cooked up, in all its fatty goodness, with some eggs and toast… |

Re: Dominican Woman Killed After Bike Collision Sends Her Under Truck Wheels
So sad to see that. I lived in the DR for some time. I hated driving to town because of all the trouble on the streets. Likewise, I remember my first week in the country, I asked a gas station attendant about why the driving was so bad. I asked why people did not follow traffic simple rules. His response was the "only rule in the country is that there are no rules to follow... I then asked if accidents did not occur in the terrible driving conditions I have seen? He then said. There are accidents almost every week. But people just do not care. A German local resident almost got lynched because a local ran rear ended him and was seriously hurt. Of course, it was the local's fault in the accident, but the mob wanted blood. Very scary thing to see the locals. Like angry wild animals...
