Re: Dominican Republic - Young Man Found Floating in the Water
He took them off to try to use them as a flotation device.. he/it failed. After drowning, he has now succeeded. |

Re: Dominican Republic - Young Man Found Floating in the Water
I can't say for sure what that floating yellow stuff was, but at a guess it's likely either: 1) Purged stomach contents/ & or bowel contents due to decomp & sea creatures.... 2) Or....oily/ fatty adipose tissue that may have broken away from the body due to decomp.... My thoughts are that when the body dies & begins decomposition, then everything goes limp & soft. There's no muscle control in the upper & lower sphincters so there is no muscle holding stuff in or out. Same goes for choice (#2) When Decomposition begins, the body tissues go fairly soft like a rotten tomato. Due to this, its easy for loose or fleshy bits to break away. Especially if the corpse was bumped or jarred by a boat, waves, or possibly breakwater waves from a boat a large animal even....such as a whale, or dolphin, or a shark even. Though I do believe a shark would've taken a bit more of a chomp, leaving the body a lot less in tact. Just my thoughts...... |
