Dominican Republic - Robber Dead After Attacking Officer
On 20th October 2020 in Santiago (Dominican Republic), 28 year old J.F.R.R. died in a confrontation with the police. 'J' had robbed 2 people of their motorbike, with one of them having to be hospitalised after being shot. One of the arresting officers, M.A.A.J., was attacked by 'J', who took his gun + fired shots. In retaliation, 'J' was shot dead by another officer. Back on 4th August 2020, 'J' + 23 year old J.T.R. were arrested during a robbery. The pair had attempted to rob a woman of her belongings but they were stopped in the act. *Videos 3 + 4* The 23 year old was beaten by witnesses + he had to be taken to the medical centre for treatment. The 28 year old was shot in his left foot when he tried to resist arrest + was taken to the hospital. The police seized 2 guns + a motorbike from the pair.
