Dominican Man Stabs His Ex-Partner to Death On the Street
Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic A man fatally stabbed his ex-partner and then fled the scene in an incident that took place in the Pueblo Nuevo sector. The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Luz C.C.Q., while the alleged perpetrator has been named as Ernesto W.J. According to neighbours in the area where the tragedy occurred, after being attacked, Luz was taken to a medical centre where she was allegedly denied treatment. Ernesto, who was carrying an ID badge identifying him as a provisional employee of the Senate of the Republic, later turned himself in. According to him, he had watched a video in which Luz had received a marriage proposal from another man the night before. Ernesto insisted he and Luz weren't separated, just estranged. He went to try and reconcile with Luz, but she refused. Luz had reportedly previously expressed fears for her safety. Reports indicate that Luz and Ernesto had two children together. |
