F. İ (45), who is on trial with a possible life imprisonment in sight after he killed C. Ç.(42) with a single bullet in her stomach where she worked in a real estate office in Turkey.

"I didn't want to kill her. If I wanted to, I had taken another gun with me." he told in court. New footage of the murder has emerged. the footage shows that F. İ., who came to the workplace where she was working, kept the gun ready behind him, shot the woman 14 seconds after he entered, and waited for a while, then shouted and shouted.

Married and father of 1 child, he came to the real estate office in Yeni Mahalle, Yunusemre district, where C. Ç, the mother of 2 children, divorced her husband a while ago, on the evening of 11 December 2020.

An argument broke out between them, who allegedly had a romantic relationship. During the discussion, he shot her, who was sitting at her desk with the gun he brought with him, hitting her in the stomach and killed her. After the incident, he surrendered to the police and was arrested.

He defended himself saying: I didn't want to kill her, but the footage of the murder came out.
He denied the accusations. He said, "Yes, I am a military personnel. I also have the ability. If I wanted to kill her, I would shoot her in the head or heart. I had 14 bullets and 1 gun on me when I fired."

The prosecutor, reading the opinion, demanded that he be given a life sentence. The court, which gave additional time for the defense, postponed the hearing to 8 February.

... with these statements and that video, I think he's got a solid self defense case here. She threw that phone pretty hard. I can't think of any reason why you would want to shoot your ex wife in a dramatic fashion like that if you weren't in fear for your life, and I'm sure he didn't just miss the heart shot from point blank range, he's ex-military.

I don’t usually think of a shot to the stomach as being fatal. It must have hit an artery, or maybe she didn’t get medical care quickly enough.

They're actually often fatal and one of the most painful places to get shot. Mostly due to your stomach acids and bacteria having free roam of your body. But you have a lot of important things there that if ruptured, can make for an unpleasant death. Especially if you get sepsis, which is basically a nasty bacterial infection that can shut down your organs until you go into shock and die.
