Re: Disfigured Face Man Dying from Dog Attack
Pitbulls have a lot of misconceptions about them. It's not the dogs fault, it's the owners. Any breed of dog can be vicious and kill someone no matter the size. Sure it might take some work but it could happen. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/chris-...b_8072204.html I feel no remorse for this person. |

Re: Disfigured Face Man Dying from Dog Attack
I volunteered for a rescue and they where pitbull advocates, but even they had special precautions and requisites for pitbull adoptions that they did not have for any other breed. I asked if it was an insurance/legal precaution and they told me no, it is due to the breeds tendencies. I've handled a lot of dogs and pitbulls are nowhere near as intelligent and trainable as others like labs and shepherds. They are hard to read and when they attack, they do so with no warning. I would never own one unless it was handled with extra care, like a wild animal.

Re: Disfigured Face Man Dying from Dog Attack
dcaccount22 VERY WELL said & after this dog I couldnt agree more with you ,The extra care & attention when arond them, is why most people get hurt as I did , I made many mistakes that night that led to my broken arm & 80 + stitches , things would be different if I would have acted acordingly BUt my dog came from a rescue situation of a very bad nature & took many hrs of training & attention ,Still not all can be saved ,nor should as it looks in my case. As all dog owners know having to make a decion as to ones exsitance is tough when it comes to the time caring for such an animal, now he becomes a liability if he should ever grab someone else...that I wont have |
