Seatbelts will do absolutely nothing for a side impact; you can see the side of his head has been cracked badly. Poor father.

I was on scene of a MVA where young boy had just received his driving permit lost control of the SUV t-boning a large tree killing his mother on impact, the father & brother in the back seat were uninjured, just remembering those two grieve over the woman will always be in my mind.
