The decomposing body of a Haitian national was found hanging from a tree in a wooded area of El Seibo province.

There are unverified claims that the man had stabbed a 15-year-old girl, shortly before hanging himself. The girl was taken to hospital. However, such a connection have only been alleged, rather than confirmed.
