Decomposed Body of Murdered Woman Found in Water Tank
Ebéjico, Antioquia Department, Colombia A macabre discovery was made in a rural area in the municipality of Ebéjico, where the lifeless body of a woman was found in a village water supply tank. The woman, who was in an advanced state of decomposition, was identified as A.I.P., 28 years old. An open wound was found on the top of her head, but the weapon that caused the wound could not be identified. A. had gone missing on the 3rd alongside a man she was in a relationship with. The body of a man was found nearby at around the same time, although his identity has not been fully established. With this case, there are already seven murders of women in Antioquia in the first nine days of July. |

Didn't open this because I'm going to be eating my supper in a few minutes and I didn't want to be totally put off my food but it reminds me of that case with the mentally ill asian girl who somehow managed to get herself inside a sealed water tank and expire. Of course all the X-files monkeys and horror-movie loving conspiratards claimed the CCTV footage showed her looking over her shoulder and being stalked by "an invisible demonic entity"  |

In Colombia a woman loses her life every 28 hours in the country for reasons of gender. They have a 123mujer hotline where women can report domestic abuse etc. It receives an average of 60 calls from women every day and that's only the top of the iceberg.

I don't think the water was very clean to begin with, but filtering thru an old gym sock might keep some of the maggot larvae out of your morning coffee.
