because he wont need the space anymore, its pretty common in many countries (Spanish graves are the same)

this is a comment on that vid on YT so guess that is going on.

My friend from Brazil told me her family had 2 crypts , and were used by all her immediate family members . If the person in one was dead for at least a year or two , long enough for the body to decay. .....then if another family member died , they would open the crypt and the grave workers would bag up the bones and put them in the back of the crypt and put the newly deceased family member inside, She said when they gather the bones to be bagged , a family member had to be present .
