Hmmm, maybe their chant was a little confrontational? Not excusing the Klan, but someone should have thought this one out a little more. Unless provoking the Klan was what you wanted to do. Five marchers were shot and killed by members of the Ku Klux Klan and the American Nazi Party while in a protest. It was the culmination of attempts by the Communist Workers Party (known as the Workers Viewpoint Organization at the time of the shooting) to organize mostly black industrial workers in the area. The marchers killed were: Sandi Smith, a nurse and civil rights activist; Dr. James Waller, president of a local textile workers union who had given up his medical practice to defend workers; Bill Sampson, a graduate of the Harvard University School of Divinity; Cesar Cause, an immigrant from Cuba who graduated magna cum laude from Duke University; and Dr. Michael Nathan, chief of pediatrics at Lincoln Community Health Center in Durham, NC, a clinic that helped children from low-income families. |

Fucking Klu Klax Klan, cowards and bastards. They had a march here once a year(Thankfully I think the city finally put their foot down) And of course they wanted to spread their words of hate. But, they hid behind A.P.D, because around here, we don't take kindly to racists.

Now, I personally don't like or agree with anything the klan does. But its ironic that these peace loving protesters would teach their kids love with "death to the klan" chants, throwing rocks, and calling them out.
