In cases where bodies have been munched on by local animals there’s usually a lot of disturbing of the body, besides the actual injury. The body would be pulled around as animals try to pull the meat apart, pieces will be torn off and pulled away, any exposed bones may be gnawed on, soft tissue would be exploited first, etc.
But, that said, these bodies were very fresh, and as such don’t even have flies and maggots, never mind bigger animals bothering the bodies. There’s no animal damage on these bodies that I can see. These facial injuries are not caused by animals. From earth. LMAO

Now, what DO we see here? Notice the shown ear on the girl was cut off... Is she missing a tongue as well? I don’t see one! The man? Same injury. Exactly. Missing lower face and neck, missing ear. (Tongue too, possibly?)
Besides all that there is one thing that sticks out. Literally! The man has a note rolled up and stuffed in his neck wound.

Animals don’t do that.

The girl, in this picture, is already loaded into the body tub for transport.
Now, the guy definitely does! If you look to the man’s left side ( the right side of our screen) you’ll see a very red tinge to the mud he’s laying in. That is where his blood soaked into the ground, and a significant amount by the looks of it.
