looks to me like he dehydrated himself too much making weight for the fight , thats a very dangerous thing to do when you dehydrate yourself your brain has less fluid protecting it and gets bounced around the inside of the skull causing damage
its happened to many many boxers

Omar Chavez killed that dude. It was not necessarily from that one single punch but the guy took several punches throughout the fight, and was hurt several times. This was just the icing on the cake.

looks to me like he caught him under his ear behind his jaw which is a deadly pressure point
It was a brain bleed, I think the medical term is a sub dermal hematoma..... Pretty much every time, that is what kills.
Basically its a bruise in your brain.
