Re: Dead Girl Prepped 4 Burial
This is why me and my sister did my Mum's makeup and hair for her, we wanted her to look as good as possible. I worked in a funeral home (and wanted to become an embalmer) and it's hard to get people looking like they did in life because you don't know what they normally looked like day to day. And as for people saying why the underwear...well why not? I took a matching underwear set in for my Mum that I got her for a gift last Christmas that she had never got the chance to wear, as well as outer clothes. I wanted her to be dressed properly and have a little dignity. |

Re: Dead Girl Prepped 4 Burial
The mouth isn't closed properly, only the lips. There are many methods of closing the mouth. You can tie the teeth, use 2 types of suturing (stitching), or a needle injector. Super glue is good for sealing the lips, because sometimes even when the motuh is sealed the lips will still be slightly parted. The eyes can be sealed with cold vaseline, so the superglue there isn't a big deal. However, if I were the embalmer, I would have used eye formers because the eyes lose their shape in death. Sometimes it is necessary to be a little rough (not horribly so) because you are working with dead weight and some cases might be in rigor. Not every orifice has to be stuffed with cotton, that is only when there is seepage from either purge or embalming fluid.
