In PR, a lot of grimey shit like that happens inside cars. You have your target at point blank range with nowhere to go and very limited space to react. Then you can ride off as someone mentioned before and keep all evidence contained for disposal. Makes sense when you think about it.

If the plan involves taking the car and/or disposing of it, and the mark has no reason to be on-guard around you, then one of the first things I would think would be, "Hey, let me do this in the car so that the shell casings don't go flying out into the night in 20 different directions." If they whacked this guy for being a narc, then they probably figured that his agency would have an idea of his last known location, or at least know where his regular meet spots are. Dude drops out of touch, they'd check those areas when trying to find him. |

Not a nice way to go, but compared to being skinned alive, beheaded or dismembered while alive, he had an easier going death than most undercover DEA agents would get.
