And sojalemmi, there IS basic GSW treatment you can do if you have the right equipment, training, and knowledge to do so. This is why a ifak on your person and medical kit in the car is as essential as say a G19 you leave home

Secure scene, establish LOC while doing a blood sweep, Hemostatic gauze packing in wound, occlusive dressing if need be (collapsed lungs, worse case late sign tension pneumothorax) suction if need be and BVM, elevate legs, expect shock apply mylar blanket, ect... assuming you dont have o2 and a EMTP to push drugs you cant do much else besides that. main this is load and go' get them to higher medical care and be caution of arterial bleeds especially on limbs i.e. high and tight TQ immediately

Any way... carry your shit and get some basic first aid knowledge and a basic BLS aid kit with airway adjuncts, c collar ect...

As a AEMT I'll tell you "legally" I'd have to work him even though he is pretty much dead there isn't anything else to do. I doubt he was Vtach or VFib probably PEA but I'm guessing lol. I also believe he was shot in the abdominal region. Sad though.

Ebonics is no longer a thing. I think it was introduced in 1996 by that school board but then they went with a different approach altogether in 1998. I think African American Vernacular English was used to “code switch” for the students in that area. This is used similarly to how you would use ESL teachers to “code switch” Spanglish in poorer Hispanic areas.
