We're worried about Asians lifting themselves out of poverty and reaching the middle class through prosperity and acquiring of material possessions (like motor vehicles and intelligent fridges) at a fast clip, which will then increase CO2 emissions and fuck up the environment.
Fortunately, the apparent non-existent drivers education and traffic enforcement systems, coupled with natural selection, ensures that their race to the middle class is somewhat kept in check through violent death. It's tragic, but these countries' governments probably have other fish to fry than dealing with drivers' safety, apparently.
