I just ran across this video in my old Ogrish archives while I was doing some organizing, and at the beginning it looks [to me] exactly like the same place where the Daghestan Beheadings took place. Even the two remaining bodies look the same- the poor sod at the end with his neck slashed, and the face-down guy in the beige jacket. [I could, of course, be wrong.]

The video seems to be of the Russians cleaning up and trying to identify the bodies, including unearthing the graves of some.

The first part is Dagestan for sure, I've seen it as part of "added footage" to the original before. The second part, not sure I've seen, I wonder if it's the Dagestan victims. Thanks for the post.

What a mess

Out of curiosity, I started looking up more information about the video in general. And I found a LOT.

I've compiled a full video of my findings with explanatory text done powerpoint-style.

Here's a brief rundown:
-The perpetrator of the massacre was Salautdin Temirbulatov.
-Salautdin Temirbulatov was arrested in 2000 for a completely different massacre of 4 russian prisoners in 1996. A video of a russian newscast covering Temirbulatov's arrest and trial, as well as part of the 1996 video that led to his conviction, is included in the video attached to this post.
-The 1996 slaughter was in the same place as the Komsomolskoye massacre of 2000, where 72 Chechen rebels promised amnesty surrendered but all either died or simply 'vanished'. One might conclude that these were the last of Temirbulatov's men, and that the russians were taking revenge- or that the Russians assumed that they were the same guys, regardless.
