The Chechens beat them and brought them back to the checkpoint. The sixth soldier, the injured driver of the BMP, went to a house. One woman called the local doctor to clean his wounds. He fell asleep, but someone told the Chechens that he was there. The Chechens had planned ahead, and each house belonging to a policeman or soldier was marked with an 'M' by some traitor in the village. The Chechens found the BMP driver, and brought him along with the other five to the place of execution.

The first victim was the lieutenant. He had been shot two times before his throat was cut because he had been resisting and had tried to escape.

The bodies were recovered a day later and brought by school truck to another checkpoint. The people from that village had asked the chechens to release the bodies. At first they refused, but then the villagers came and asked again, and people told them that a memorial plaque may be built if the bodies were not returned. And so the bodies were recovered the next day.

My friend could have died same day, after BMP was destroyed, they came back into the village, and separated in two groups, first group was lieutenant and others captured, others and my friend hid in the garden. They were taken out of village at night by one civilian to another checkpoint, that same checkpoint where later they saw their dead friends. I remember when he told me, that when they were hiding in that garden, there was corn growing, and grass everywhere, suddenly they heard radios, he was lying first next to the road, then mercenaries came and started exploring the garden, friend had grenade in his hand and was praying, he was a few feet away from him.. After some time chechens left. By the way this conflict started in Russian territory and has nothing to do with first war, Khattab, Basayev and others were financed by people like Berezovsky, politicians and other countries, which were interested in Russian territory collapse, It was international war, they entered into Dagestan (Russian territory)mercernaries were from Somalia, Saudi Arabia, Syria, france, Russia, Chechnya and etc... Local people in Dagestan fought back and with russians protected their lands.

For some reason I keep getting a gut feeling that the guy who had his throat cut with the fingers in his eyes was the BMP driver. I used to be interested in camouflage uniforms, especially eastern europe, Soviet Union, Russia, etc., and the beige uniform he was wearing reminds me of a tanker's uniform? Just guessing here, I am not really sure.

Also, I have read both that Aleksey Lipotov was the one who managed to run and that he was the one who was killed after the runner. Do you happen to know which is which?

Lieutenant is that one, who turns his head when his throat is already cut, you can see him struggling with another Chechen in the beginning of the video, he is on his back, he has dark green jumper. BMP driver was killed last one, person who killed him was the leader of that group (UMAR), tank drivers name Aleksey Polagajev. Guy who tried to run away is Aleksey Lipatov, yes he was shot 200 meters away. Guy in blue shirt is Vladimir Kaufman, which is being interrogated.

Salautin temirbulatov is another killer, he was not in Dagestan, there is very bad quality video called "Temirbulatov 1996 VHS killings" on this page, that is his video, but he has nothing to do with Dagestan.
