Dagestan: Four People Killed When Faulty Brake Truck Slams Into Bus
"As a result of an accident on the R-217 'Kavkaz' highway in the Karabudakhkent district of the Republic of Dagestan, four people died and 10 were injured. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region. The accident happened at about 10:00 on Thursday, September 29, on the 819th km of the R-217 "Kavkaz" road. According to preliminary information, the driver of the KAMAZ truck lost control of the vehicle due to brake failure and collided with a Gazelle passenger minibus, after which he collided with Lada Niva and VAZ-2109 vehicles. As a result of the accident, the driver of KAMAZ and three passengers of the Gazelle died at the scene. Another 10 participants in the accident with various injuries were taken to hospitals in Makhachkala. “The information is preliminary, the circumstances of the incident and the identity of the participants in the accident are being specified,” the report says. On the official page of the traffic police of Russia in the social network VKontakte, it is reported that the passenger minibus is a shuttle vehicle carrying 14 people." Recently read a 5th person has now passed away. |
