Three men (father 46, and his two sons 29 and 21) were shot and killed by a lone bank security guard when they tried to rob a woman, outside the BAC San Jose branch in Costa Rica, when she was about to enter bank to make a deposit of $50,000.

The bank guard, whose identity has not been made public, noticed what was going on outside the branch doors intervenes and first gets into a scuffle with the robbers.

A gunfight then ensues. Two of the robbers died at the scene while the third one died in hospital later on.

The youngest son, who at first appears to be a bystander and not part of the robbery, takes his shot brother’s gun and fires at the guard.

In the meleé, the guard is hit by a bullet in the shoulder. He survived and taken to hospital where he is recovering. The woman was struck by one of the assailants when he grabbed the money back from her and is also recovering in hospital.

This was not recorded by an in place, stationary camera. Rather the camera man follows the action, even seeming to anticipate it at some points. If we weren't told that this was a real life incident, I would have taken it for a movie shoot.

how do you explain the giant time/date stamp (upper right), that is occasionally present, but only in pieces...? it is possible to post-edit raw footage and frame/zoom in on parts of interest, you know...or, like so many videos, hold a phone up to a large monitor and make a second-generation video
