Where he really went wrong was holding on at the side. Always hold on from the rear so the vehicle doesn't turn into you like this poor wet behind the ears deadling had happen to him.  |

I was waiting for the light to change to cross 53rd street in NYC and a guy on a bicycle went by right next to a bus. He falls into the street, bike hits a parked car, bus of course keeps right on rolling. Next thing you know he is screaming "Motherfucker...nnnngaaahhh....motherfuuuccckkkker !!!" He walks over to a crowd of us on the corner holding his left hand in his right. Looked like he was in shock. Caught a ring somewhere on the bus and degloved a finger.  |

I learned from my years working in munitions maintenance not to wear any ring that isn’t rubber. They cost like 2 bucks a piece, nobody questions them other than to remark that they’re cool, and they don’t take your finger off when you do something dumb.
