If I had to guess, I'd say that the guy at the table was too drunk to notice the news breaking just over his head of the faulty detonator responsible for a foiled bomb plot against the Fatman's rival's high tech satellite launch. Table Guy did that wiring, and if there's one thing that disgusts the Fatman more than shoddy (likely drunk) electricians, it's muthers that lack the damn situational awareness to know when to quit their infernal celebrating, and start grovelling!
