Re: A Crocodile Kills Soccer Player in Costa Rica
And people fear sharks? It's not like I love sharks but... Crocs are cold blooded reptiles who store food for later. They like their meat aged and tender. He was on his way to put Jesus under a rock till he's cooked just right. They NEVER pass up a meal. A shark might have a damaging "taste" nudge but a croc will eat you every time. I know this b/c I'm from Miami Beach where we swam with sharks on the other side of the sand bar for 100 years without knowing. Helicopter footage cleared that up for us. But I never once went to the Everglades where I didn't see me a gator snacking, often on another gator. When you're canoeing or kayaking, they are like right there. They'll nudge your boat. Fortunately, they're not really the jump up in the air and take down your canoe kind of creature. On land, they are as fast as a horse but not a lot of stamina. I also lived in CR for a few years taking care of my dad. Crocs are protected. They live around 100 years and never stop growing. At this point, in CR, they are all freaking enormous. Locals are ready to return to hunting them but other locals cry foul. Crocs are in all the fresh water rivers of CR and when pushed out by big rains or a lack of food, surf the waves like red snapper. Google that. If sharks in the waves freak you out, see what a 25 ft croc with that tail as a rudder can do when he surfs. Jesus died dumb. I'm sorry to his mother and perhaps futbol. |
