Crack Using Man Sets His Wife on Fire
Brazil, CCTV video shows the exact moment when Renato, 26, sets fire to his wife Fabiane, 34, under a marquee, downtown Curitiba. The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday, April 22. Fabiane died and Renato, who was also burned, was arrested this week after being discharged from the Evangelical Hospital.  On the day of the murder, the woman was sent, with 50% of her body burned, to the Evangelical Hospital, where 2 days later she could not resist the injuries and died. Also the husband was rescued and remained since then hospitalized, under police escort. After being discharged this week, he was referred to DHPP to remain in jail. A delegate, in charge of investigating the case, described what the accused said in his testimony. "He said that the two were under the influence of toxic substances and, in a moment of madness, he attacked his wife. The two of them were using crack and they were arguing. Now he will respond by feminicide, which ranges from 12 to 30 years in prison, "he said. Renato said that he was being betrayed and that he wanted to have died along with Fabiane. "I had used strong drugs on the day and she was cheating on me with other guys on the street. At the time I remembered all this and decided to set fire her. I could not stand being betrayed. I wish I had died together. I loved her and I'm sorry, "he said. The suspect remains in custody. |

She looked stoned? Not exactly the speedy retreat most people make when set afire.  And the people stood by watching him do it, all stoners as well I guess. |

They probably weren't even smoking crack. Most who smoke cocaine in Brazil; are smoking oxy (cocaine paste) leftover from the manufacturing process.
