~ He was the target. I don't think they were a romantic couple, since they were also neighbors, per as the description mentions he was a family man, & both were in good standing with the community. ~ I think someone didn't like the idea of that prospective neighborhood, as a future drug area, would be possible with the kind of person the male victim was. She was collateral damage, because she became a possible witness. ~ As someone mentioned, unnecesary jealousy could have been involved. |

That’s because such a search seems to use incorrect parameters. There is difference in reporting with regards to armed conflict between nations and the type of intentional homicide seen in videos here from Brazil. A search for something like “most murder country world” should put Brazil in the top 15.
