Couple Shot Dead when Sitting in Their Car in Front of Their House
A couple was shot dead yesterday in Brazil when they were inside their car in front of their house. F. D. C., one of the victims, had already served time for rape and murder, and was accused of killing state deputy José Nassar.  The gunmen were in a vehicle and a motorcycle, approached the couple's car, and fired several times. The other victim, a woman, was identified as É.C.  F.D.C. went to trial in 2015, accused of being the executioner of then state deputy José Nassar, in the 1990s and was acquitted. F.D.C. also had served time for rape and murder. The man died at the scene and his wife was rescued by residents, but she could not resist and died on the way to the hospital.  Police said the two were talking inside the car when they were approached first by a couple on a motorcycle followed by men, arriving in a car, armed with rifles who fired several shots at the victims. Besides, they put a knife into his chest. Residents reported that the man was feared in the county for being known as a 'rent killer'. So far, the main suspect is that the motivation of the crime was "reckoning."   |

This may be harsh but a lack of being armed and a complete lack of situational awareness played a huge part in the final outcome. The driver appeared to see a problem coming but instead of driving away or using the vehicle as a weapon he chose to open the door
