Damn. Something like this happened to one of my friends as we were leaving work, I was in the lane next to him and a truck came from behind while we were at a stop light. The guy didn't even try to stop. luckily my friend drove a big truck so he was fine for the most part.

I was nearly hit, years ago. I had the green light and I was making a left turn, out of no where the car comes speeding right in front of my car. Like if I had been just a little more heavy footed on my gas, I most likely would have been hit. And it was so surreal, i saw it happening in slow motion, I clearly saw the guys face, his eyes barely open, he looked drugged out/high. One of the most scariest experiences I have ever had in my life. I was so stunned, I had to pull over and cry for awhile before I could continue to drive home.
And now I always look, even if I have the green light, I look to see if there is any vehicles coming, ready to blow thru a red light.

I also check my rear view as I wait at the red light, just in case I spot any vehicles that look like they are speeding.
Not fool proof of course...but it's something.
This pos though, not giving a shit, reversing over the poor persons body like that. All so he could run away.
