Re: Couple on a Bike Shoot and Kill a Guy Before Stealing His Phone
I'm really surprised more people aren't commenting on what the victim did. The old "look! Behind you!" trick had me laughing my ass off. Too bad he didn't get away with it... What a ballsy move! |

Re: Couple on a Bike Shoot and Kill a Guy Before Stealing His Phone
I could argue that i'd have locked my phone and handed it over but then, it being an android, a simple restart into safe mode and resetting to factory settings gains you access to the phone, makes you wonder why there are such security features on a phone in the first place if its that easily bypassed. (wait til battery dead, charge over prestart battery charge load up in safe mode. if the phone starts when disconnecting charger, you can actually hold the power button and turn it off again without needing a password/fingerprint and load up in safe mode that way.)

Re: Couple on a Bike Shoot and Kill a Guy Before Stealing His Phone
I think the whole point of security on the phone is not that a thief won't be able to reuse it. The point is that thieves won't get access to personal information and other related data; not taking your phone and being unable to use it. Thieves can definitely use the phone after a factory reset (and maybe even resell it), but they would have no chance to steal your data. |
