Those two men were hung not only by the neck but with one arm also in the ‘noose’. Actually quite cruel. This would give them some hope of escape, but it is instead a drawn out death of positional asphyxiation. Eventually their muscles become overtaxed and they take shallower and shallower breaths until they die. |
