Corpse in State of Decomposition Found Inside Wooden Shack
Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, Brazil. No further info. I don't even want to imagine what that shack smells like. On another note, can anyone explain why the head is significantly more decomposed than the limbs? |

Re: Corpse in State of Decomposition Found Inside Wooden Shack
I wonder, what’s his address!?! If I had any idea why his head is so blackened I’d probably guess he was some kind of shithead. On a more serious note: Whether the corpse is in a more anaerobic or aerobic environment will also influence the rate of decomposition. The more oxygen there is available the more rapid decomposition will take place. This is because the microorganisms required for decomposition require oxygen to live and thus facilitate decomposition. Lower oxygen levels will have the opposite effect. The cause of death can also influence the rate of decomposition, mainly by speeding it up. Fatal wounds like stab wounds or other lacerations on the body attract insects as it provides a good spot to oviposit and, as a result, could increase the rate of decomposition. That being said, his head could have simply been the most accessible area with his nose and mouth being infiltrated by a large amount of insects while it’ll take a while for them to get in his internal organs... |
