Its from a documentary that was on the Discovery Channel, about a really interesting professor who runs this "body farm" to learn about the decompostion of the human body under different circumstances eg in water, in a shallow grave, naked, clothed, different seasons etc, etc. The farm is also used to teach forensic investigators and so forth. Very interesting  |

Actually, they use bodies that are donated. I saw a documentary on it all once. In fact, I believe, that was the very same corpse they used on the doc. . It allows them to learn how long a body has been dead, by the rate of decay that occurs on test corpses. What stage a flies larvae are in can tell a forensic scientist the time of death! It's pretty interesting. |
