I was always curious whether or not they cleaned these things spotless in between bodies to prevent your ashes from mixing in with someone else’s.. it looks pretty clean

There are coffins and there are caskets. Coffins are the six sided (non rectangular) boxes that are always made of wood. We use caskets (rectangular) in North America, and those can be wood or metal. The local laws determine whether or not someone must be in a flammable exclosure to be cremated. We require at least a cardboard box, whoops, I mean a "Titan Series Deluxe Corrugated Slumber Vessel" ($925)
