People on Sumatra were shocked after finding the corpse of an 80-year-old grandfather R.L. in an old well behind his house today.

The incident came to light when D.C, 58, a woman who is a domestic assistant at the victim’s residence, came to the victim’s home with the intention of working as she normally does.

When trying to clean the room, she noticed the victim's room was empty. After examination, the victim was not seen in the house.

She informed the victim's son and the victim's grandson.

At 07.00 pm, all three were searching around the house. Not long after one of them noticed a flashlight located near an old well behind the house that was no longer in use.

The flashlight was known to belong to the victim.

They also saw the lid of the well from zinc has been opened. Feeling suspicious, they told the findings to their family and neighbors.

Two citizens inspected the well behind the victim's house using a bamboo log. As soon as the well filled with water was mixed with bamboo lava, the victim emerged to the surface of the water in a dense state and was presumed dead.

The family informed the local Government and the Police Department who immediately went to the location of the well.
