The shooting in this case is a perfect example of how to handle these clowns.

whilst I think it was a very bad idea that costed him his life not to listen to the cops, why do cops in most of these videos go for vital body parts? can't they shoot his leg or shoot his arm/hand?

I love it when people say shoot someone in the leg and hand. there is a video of a cop shooting a guy in the leg and the man died because it hit his femoral artery and he bled out. Its called using DEADLY force in response to a deadly threat. Police are not allowed by law to shoot to wound in a deadly situation. Shoot a perp in the leg and they shoot you in the head in response. this was very justified

From a google search, and I'm glad I looked it up because people ask that a lot:

"What Lewinski said back in 2006 remains just as true today: “Hands and arms can be the fastest-moving body parts. For example, an average suspect can move his hand and forearm across his body to a 90-degree angle in 12/100 of a second. He can move his hand from his hip to shoulder height in 18/100 of a second.”

Lewinski then said “The average officer pulling the trigger as fast as he can on a GLOCK — one of the fastest-cycling semi-autos — requires 1/4 second to discharge each round. There is no way an officer can react, track, shoot and reliably hit a threatening suspect’s forearm or a weapon in a suspect’s hand in the time spans involved.”

Lewinski added, “If an officer manages to take a suspect’s legs out non-fatally, that still leaves the offender’s hands free to shoot. His ability to threaten lives hasn’t necessarily been stopped.”

They are trained to hit center mass first, to neutralize the threat. It's easier to shoot a larger target like the chest than it is to carefully aim at a hand that can move in a fraction of a second. Cops aren't super heros in movies that can aim in a fraction of a second on a small target. They're just regular people we give guns to protect the public.

The black man in this video didn't listen to commands, and when he moved his arm with the gun in his hands, even though it wasn't pointed at police, they reacted to neutralize the threat.
