Re: Cops Fire 10+ Times on Guy Holding a Knife Near Gas Station
Justified. He had a weapon and was not complying. If the guy would have entered the store, took a hostage and slit their throat everyone would have bitched about the cops not acting. If the police just wanted to kill him, they could have done so much earlier.

Re: Cops Fire 10+ Times on Guy Holding a Knife Near Gas Station
Serious question for anyone who actually knows........is there anything non toxic that can be shot at a person that disables them immediately? Like a blow dart with anaesthesia (just an example....not a real suggestion).......With this case I can see why they shot......but it seems like there are some people who aren't altered by tazer's....is there anything fast acting that subdue a person? Some people are evil and seek out destruction.....but I believe there are many who are misunderstood and if the situation could be de escalated.....somehow.....it could prevent a lot of this....maybe.... |

What cop in his right mind wants to shoot, or even use force against a black male these days? Doesn't matter how justified you are, your city will burn. Wisconsin is burning tonight because of an officer involved shooting. Once he made the attempt to enter the gas station he became a threat to everyone in the store. This was a suicide by cop with a few extra steps. |

The only thing I can imagine is an opsin-rhodopsin blocker that was capable of instantly disabling these protein binding properties in a temporary way, leaving the suspect unable to see for while.

Re: Cops Fire 10+ Times on Guy Holding a Knife Near Gas Station
True, there is a video on here of a guy with a knife that was threatening several cops on a sidewalk, there was a disabled woman nearby as the event was unfolding, the hesitation of the cops to shoot the suspect allowed him to get close to the woman and take her hostage, then the dumbass cops had to shoot the suspect but in the process they also killed the poor old woman. They definitely had to shoot him much earlier taking into consideration there was innocent people within reach of the deranged guy. |

No. That's just Hollywood bullshit. Most sedative dosages have to be fairly precise according to body weight: Too little and it won't be effective, too much and it's fatal. Plus there's probably also the question of storage, as in it wouldn't keep very well sitting on a cop's belt or in his car all day.
