Back in the day I remember ppl would carry scissors on them as a stabbing weapon to protect themselves in commiefornia because of the strict laws on gun and knife. If you think scissors, pens or a pencil are not viable weapons, ive seen them used to cause some pretty nasty injuries especially in the neck or face.

In America when a cop goes out on an armed citizen call, he/she is already watering in the mouth at an almost certain opportunity to get a "justified" kill. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand it is impossible to reason with a mentally disturbed person. There's no way anyone can convince them to drop whatever sort of "weapon" they are waving, so it is impossible not to get in a position that justifies shooting that person to death, especially if you purposefully get a few yards in front of them to stand in the danger zone. These events should be approached in a different manner, being mentally disturbed shouldn't mean a death sentence for anyone.  |
